Busy Buddies

Busy Buddies

Hambleton Community Actions very first Supported Volunteering Project, Busy Buddies is a volunteer support group that was started in 2017. Originally a project that aimed to engage people who wanted to volunteer and others to be their mentors, enabling and supporting those volunteers to reach their goals.

Busy Buddies encourage people with a range of mental health, physical and learning needs and feelings of isolation to regain confidence, develop new interests, get out and about, make friends and meet new people.

Busy Buddies have become so much more than a project, now in its fourth year, the Busy Buddies have become a group that supports each other not only in their volunteering roles but also socially, meeting regularly to enjoy a coffee together or to take part in other social activities.

The Busy Buddies hold their own regular coffee afternoons, on the first Wednesday of every month in the Town Hall in Richmond 2:00pm – 4:00pm, a place to connect with others either as a volunteer or as a customer.

Busy Buddies is open to anyone that wishes to be supported in their volunteering or give their time, supporting someone else to volunteer. You can apply to volunteer here.
