By Your Side

By Your Side offers support to people who are not eligible for statutory advocacy. 

We provide one-to-one support so people get the best out of health and welfare appointments, ensuring that their questions are answered and they feel heard, understood and supported throughout their journey. The service is offered free of charge.

We can support those who:

  • Are struggling to access the services they need, e.g benefits, healthcare, etc.
  • Are worried about completing official paperwork such as benefits applications.
  • Are anxious about attending medical or work capability assessments.
  • Need support to attend hospital appointments.
  • Are feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities and unable to cope alone.
