Hambleton Community Action is currently acting as the Covid-19 Community Support Organisation for the Northallerton, Bedale and surrounding areas and will match up requests for help and support with people who can give assistance. Services that Hambleton Community Action are providing include prescription collections, delivery of shopping and a phone companionship service for people who want someone to talk to.
We would like to reassure local residents who need help that support will still be available for them even when the national government programme for those shielding stops at the end of July 2020.
As from June 2020, we are also expanding our services to help those who feel ready to get ‘out and about’ but need to build their confidence again following this period of shielding. We have volunteers who will accompany people shopping, escort them to places, or to simply take a walk together.
For help and advice email email@example.com or call 01609 780458 (Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm).
