Let’s Get Connected event – Wednesday 16th October 2019

Hambleton Community Action is inviting groups from Northallerton & the surrounding villages to facilitate an information stand, free of charge, to promote their organisation / group at an event on Wednesday 16th October 2019, 11am – 3pm in the Yorkshire Suite at the Golden Lion, High Street, Northallerton.

Our ‘Lets Get Connected’ event will focus on helping local adults get involved in activities in Northallerton (and the surrounding villages) that help reduce isolation and loneliness.

Voluntary, community and statutory organisations are being invited to come together to share details of their activities and encourage collaborative working with the aim of tackling loneliness in the local community. Organisations & groups will have the opportunity to network and promote their services to other organisations for the first hour, 11am – 12pm  and then to promote their services that reduce isolation and loneliness to local people from 12pm – 3pm.

Our aim of the event is to provide local people with the latest information about local activities / groups / leisure & volunteering opportunities in the local area.

We want to encourage people to:

  • Get involved in their community
  • Find local activities that they may be interested in
  • Try something new
  • Learn new skills and make friends
  • Explore volunteering

As numbers will be limited, please complete and return our booking request form (below) by 31st August at the latest.  Confirmation of your booking and further details will then be sent to you.

In order for us to include as many local service providers as possible, please feel free to pass on this information to any organisations or groups (especially the smaller, less well known groups in Northallerton) that you think may be interested in having a stall.
